It's a sad day. Starting in 2020, there will no longer be any wrestling featured in the Olympics. No more brute strength, blazing speed, or awe inspiring technique to see. No more Jordan Burroughs chasing John Smiths' records, or seeing Kurt Angle break down after winning gold. HOPE WRESTLES On February 5th, 2013, Corey and Ryan Hope will embark on a 4 month journey across the world to Armenia. The brothers will be traveling there to train with some of the world's best Greco-Roman Wrestlers on their quest to become future Olympians. These two are clearly very passionate and driven and I am sure they will reach their goal. Corey and Ryan were gracious enough to make some time to give us an interview telling us a little bit about their trip, their desire to compete and train with the best, and how other countries around the world stack up to America in terms of Strength, Conditioning, and Power (Hint: American's are way behind). StrongerWrestler.com: Ryan and Corey, thank you so much for your time. For starters, tell us a little about yourselves, your careers so far, and what you're doing now. … [Read more...] about Interview series with Ryan and Corey Hope

And if they do, they are probably doing it improperly (hint: wrist curls aren't the answer). In this post, we'll go in depth about the types of exercises you should do to develop a devastating grip. … [Read more...] about Grip Training

Wrestlers as a whole generally have tight and immobile hips and shoulders, two incredibly important joints involved in the sport of wrestling. Since it is a constant struggle for me to make sure my athletes are stretching, foam rolling, and performing mobility drills, I am sure that it is for all of you out there. While doing those is rarely fun, the reality is we NEED to do it. Being mobile and flexible will do a variety things to raise your game. Here are a few of them: … [Read more...] about MOBILE! AGILE!
